What are the Program Objectives and Benefits?
The Gallup StrengthsFinder assessment is an online tool thatmeasures the presence of 34 themes of talent and provide individuals with theirtop five themes of strength or areas of greatest potential.
Upon completion of the assessment, the participant willreceive a personalized, detailed report including their top five themes oftalent from a pool of 34 themes and an analysis of the characteristics of eachof their strengths. The reportalso includes a list of action items for practical ways of putting each ofthese strengths to work.
Program Objectives
- Solidify the participants’ understanding of their individual strengths,
- Cultivate the ability to understand the unique strengths and work styles of other participants of the program for enhanced team relationships and greater organizational effectiveness,
- Provide a coach facilitated forum using a common language for sharing one’s talents with others to gain an appreciation for what each team member does best, and
- Inspire the participants to take immediate steps towards putting these strengths to work in their professional lives in order to engage more fully in their work, be more productive, and empower personal and team excellence.
Sustainable Benefits
- Each participant will increase their self-awareness by identifying their reoccurring patterns of thought and behavior that are the characteristics of their top five strengths.
- Work one-on-one with an experienced coach to help develop a plan for actively putting their strengths to work for their own personal engagement and to achieve greater performance results.
- Participants will learn where their strengths fall into the four different categories of striving, thinking, influencing, and relating to others.
- Participation in the team-coaching component of the program provides an opportunity to learn about the philosophy behind identifying and capitalizing on strengths, and to explore practical implications for using strengths in the workplace.
- Participants will gain an understanding of the commonalities and differences in strengths and work styles of other team members leading to greater team performance and effectiveness.
- Team Leaders will understand each team members’ greatest areas of potential and will emerge better equipped to provide opportunities for empowering personal and team excellence.
Interactive & Experiential Activities
- Participate in an exercise designed to address the questions, "What do I do best?" and "What are the key responsibilities for my role?", and make connections using their top five strengths.
- Share their top five strengths with other participants and answer thought-provoking questions about these strengths such as “Which one or two strengths do I relate to most and why?” and “If I were to partner with someone, what strength would I want them to have and why?”
- Actively engage with others about their strengths and participate in an open, interactive discussion with the team.
- Ask the coach frequently asked questions about the StrengthsFinder assessment tool.
- Brainstorm with the team and share practical implications for using strengths in the team setting.
