What is it Like to Work with Us?

Coaching engagements are unique for each client, yet they all begin with the client's agenda in mind. Your coaching experience will be a s unique as you are. We've found that following a set model offers a solid foundation and structure that actually makes it easier for you to reach your professional goals. This page describes how we'll work together within that model.

Initial Client Interview – In order to ensure the right “fit” between coach and client, a preliminary interview is scheduled to discuss the coaching process and to determine the client’s goals for working with the coach. For any coaching engagement to be successful, it is important that the client and the coach establish a good rapport and mutual trust. It is our goal to ensure a strong, trusting partnership in the beginning in order for us to fulfill your expectations for the coaching engagement.

Establishing the Agreement – Once the client and coach are comfortable with their ability to successfully partner, a coaching agreement will be established outlining the following:

Coaching Sessions – The coach will meet with the client either in person or via the telephone as mutually agreed upon. Each session will include a focus on the client's agenda for that session. The coach will use active listening and thoughtful inquiry in order to guide the client through the coaching conversation. At the end of the session, the client will take away one or two new practices or assignments to engage in between sessions in order to build a greater self-awareness for possible changes in thinking and/or behavior in the future. The coach will remain available to the client between coaching sessions via telephone or email to support the client as needed.

Conclusion – At the conclusion of the coaching engagement, the coach and client will assess the client’s progress, new learning to be applied, and required support by the coach going forward. As appropriate, the coach will also meet with others within the organization to determine any future needs to support the client’s integration of the new learning.
